What is Business Yoga?

Business yoga means you and your colleagues can reap the benefits of yoga right in your office! Classes can take place in the morning, at lunch or after work, depending on what you as a team decide works best. Classes can take place in meeting rooms, common spaces or any space available to lay down yoga mats to suit the number of interested participants.

Online business classes are currently available.

Why practice yoga at work?

Even if practiced just once a week, one can still experience the benefits of yoga by:

  • reducing stress levels and boosting energy

  • boosting the immune system functionality and balancing the nervous system

  • improving mood and promoting positive thinking

  • learning breathing techniques which help with relaxation

  • improving posture and spinal health

  • alleviating joint pain which results from long hours of sitting

  • mobilizing joints and muscles that are not utlized in day-to-day activities

  • improving focus, memory, productivity and creativity

  • becoming resilient during stressful situations

  • improving decision-making skills

  • improving team-working skills and alleviating conflict

For many employees, a weekly yoga session at work might be the only time they have to fit self-care into their busy lives.
Many of my clients note a significant improvement in their workdays after classes at their respective work places.

Testimonials about my business yoga classes

I’ve really enjoyed doing Yoga with Koko at my workplace because I’ve seen how it makes a positive impact on my mood and energy throughout the day. There is something special in particular about doing Yoga in my workplace: I find that it brings me a sense of calm and focus inside an environment which I often associate with stress and chaos.

It’s only been a couple of months since I started going to Koko’s yoga classes at my office. Even though I’m definitely not a sporty morning person, Tuesday’s mornings are my favorite now as you ease into the day with a relaxed mind and body. That doesn’t mean that you don’t sweat in her classes though ;)
— ISABEL F., Contentful
Koko wasn’t just our yoga instructor, she created a real sense of community in our weekly practice. All levels were welcome and she took the time to get to know everyone and provide individual feedback and support. As a music tech company, we especially appreciated her excellent playlists!
— AVA H., Native Instruments
Rasa’s first yoga practice with Koko was supposed to be a one-time thing, however, after so many of my colleagues joined and gave great feedback, we decided to meet Koko online and practice yoga more frequently. Thanks to Koko I personally started to practice yoga again and my colleagues finally had a good enough reason to shut their computers and relax after a long day at work! I’m very thankful and impatiently waiting for the next practise :)

There are some variables to take into account such as available space, number of participants, and preferred time and day.

Please note, it is not possible to pay business yoga classes with Urban Sports Club membership. USC classes need to be open to the general public.
In most cases a weekly flat rate is agreed upon between the company and the teacher.
